The last two rounds of the TCR series brought intense action and unexpected challenges for our team, with Max Hall behind the wheel of the Lynk & Co TCR car. From strong qualifying performances to battling technical issues, Max showed resilience and skill that kept us on the edge of our seats.

Snetterton: A Promising Start with Mixed Results
Our journey began at Snetterton, where Max Hall joined us to pilot the Lynk & Co TCR car. The weekend started strong with Max qualifying in an impressive second place. This set high expectations for the races ahead.
Race 1: A Tough Start but a Solid Finish
Despite the promising qualifying, the first race didn’t go as smoothly as hoped. Max dropped from second to sixth off the line, a setback that tested his composure. Through determined driving and strategic moves, he clawed back to finish third. This podium finish was a testament to his skill in recovering positions under pressure in his first ever TCR-UK race this was a brilliant drive.
Race 2: Fighting Back and Fastest Lap
Starting from eighth position in the second race, Max delivered an outstanding performance. He pushed hard, overtaking several competitors to cross the line in second place. Unfortunately, a small penalty for contact dropped him back to third. Still, Max recorded the fastest lap of the race, showing the car’s pace and his driving talent.
Brand Hatch: Testing and Troubles
After Snetterton, we moved to Brand Hatch for a crucial test day. The factory Lynk engineers joined us for a wet test, which, despite the challenging conditions, looked very promising. The team gathered valuable data and felt confident heading into the official Friday test.
Friday Official Test: Uncovering Problems
During the official test, we started noticing a problem that initially seemed manageable. By Friday night, we thought we had identified the issue, but it soon became clear there were actually two problems. The main concern was a failing turbo, which severely affected the car’s performance.

Qualifying and Race 1: Struggling with Turbo Issues
Max qualified in third place, showing the car’s potential despite the turbo problem. However, the issue persisted during the race. A poor start dropped Max to sixth, and a later puncture forced the car to crawl to a halt due to overheating. This was a frustrating setback after the promising qualifying.
Race 2: A Remarkable Comeback
The team worked tirelessly overnight to source new parts and a replacement turbo. Although time was tight and replacement was difficult, everyone gave their best. Max delivered an incredible drive, moving from 16th to 4th place. This performance highlighted his determination and the team’s resilience in the face of adversity.

Special Thanks to Mark Smith
We also want to extend a special thanks to Mark Smith, whose Cupra we looked after for the first five rounds of the series. Mark won the Diamond Trophy, marking a strong start to our journey in the series. Congratulations to Mark for his success and thank you for trusting us with your car.

Looking Ahead
These two rounds showed the highs and lows of racing. Max Hall’s driving skills and the team’s hard work kept us competitive, even when technical challenges threatened our results.
We remain focused on improving the Lynk & Co TCR performance. With the factory engineers’ support, we are confident in our ability to bounce back stronger.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our TCR campaign in 2026.
