BSR Civic Cup Summer Round-Up – Momentum Building for a Strong Finish

As the 2025 Miltek Sport Civic Cup reaches the summer break, the Ben Sharpe Racing team is riding a wave of growing momentum, with strong performances across the board and plenty of reasons to be excited for the second half of the season.

Jake Renshaw has been a real standout in his debut campaign, currently sitting 5th in the Rookie Cup standings. His pace has been building round by round, and he made a major breakthrough at Silverstone, taking his first class win and proving he’s now a regular top-ten contender. Jake was also on course for a sensational first overall podium at Oulton Park, before a late clutch issue cruelly ended that charge just six minutes from the flag. With his confidence growing and speed to match, he’s set to be a force in the remaining rounds.

Aidan Mitchell currently holds 9th in the Rookie Cup, and despite a run of frustrating issues outside of the team’s control, he’s already made his speed known. With two top-ten qualifying performances under his belt, Aidan has shown he has the outright pace to challenge at the front. Once the bad luck turns, there’s no doubt he’ll be climbing the order and delivering the results his talent deserves.

In the Goodyear Diamond Trophy, Garry Townsend made an encouraging start to the season, putting in some solid drives before a recent operation forced him to miss the last three rounds. The whole team wishes him a speedy recovery and we’re hopeful of seeing him back behind the wheel very soon.

Across the board, our cars have been fast at every venue, giving us huge confidence heading into the final stretch of the season. The foundations are in place, the pace is there, and the whole BSR team is pushing hard behind the scenes. With everything pointing in the right direction, those breakthrough results feel closer than ever.
