This weekend was a whirlwind of excitement as we embarked on a mission to help a fellow driver obtain the necessary signatures for an upgrade to his license. On Friday, we borrowed a Mazda MX5 Supercup car from Paddock Motorsport and headed to the rain-soaked circuit of Brands Hatch.

Despite the challenging conditions, we put in some rigorous testing on Friday and managed to secure an impressive 8th place in the qualifying session, a remarkable feat given the 19-car field. However, due to the championship's guest entry rules, we were forced to start from the back of the grid for the first race. In Race 1, we fought hard and finished 13th, but in Race 2, we staged a spectacular comeback, crossing the finish line in 7th place.

The excitement didn't stop there. On Sunday, we shifted gears and headed to the iconic Silverstone GP circuit to take part in the 750MC Hot Hatch series, driving a Honda Civic Cup spec hire car. Despite having never driven this car or tackled the Silverstone track before, we managed to secure the 8th position in qualifying.
Race 1 saw us slipping back to 9th overall and 8th in class, but in Race 2, a remarkable display of skill and determination propelled us to 6th place overall.
Throughout this action-packed weekend, the true hero of the story was Nick Cristofaro, the driver on a mission. Not only did he accomplish the formidable task of obtaining four out of six required signatures, but he also achieved some outstanding results despite the limited track time in both cars. It was an unforgettable weekend, filled with thrilling races and a true testament to the spirit of motorsport.
